[Russia launches 5G network commercial services] On September 11, the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media announced on September 11 that Russia has launched fifth-generation mobile communication technology (5G) services. The Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media said that in the first phase, 5G networks have been opened in 16 cities including Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg, benefiting approximately 10 million people, and are provided by Russia's four major operators including Russian Mobile Communications System Company and Megaphone Telecom Company.
