[China's first "molten salt energy storage + carbon dioxide" power generation project starts construction] China Huaneng announced on September 16 that China's first demonstration project "Rui Carbon" that combines molten salt energy storage with carbon dioxide power generation started at Huaneng's Shandong Bajiao Power Plant that day. This is currently the largest project of its kind in China. In the first phase, a 50-MW supercritical carbon dioxide generator unit will be constructed, equipped with a 100-MW/400-MWh molten salt energy storage system.
