Abstract:
According to the "Global Fabless IC Design Industry Research Report for the Second Quarter of 2026" released by TrendForce, AMD has surpassed Qualcomm and become the world's third largest fabless semiconductor company.
The report shows that Nvidia continues to top the list, with second-quarter revenue approaching US$91.16 billion, a year-on-year increase of 99%, and its proportion of the total revenue of the top ten manufacturers further rose to 64%.
Broadcom ranked second, with revenue exceeding US$18.89 billion, a year-on-year increase of 112%. It is one of the leading manufacturers with the most outstanding growth rate this quarter.

AMD ranked third,

Qualcomm retreated to fourth place, with revenue of more than 8.5 billion US dollars; its supply share in the new generation of iPhone modem chips has declined, but the automotive market has maintained double-digit year-on-year growth for 23 consecutive quarters. Recently, Qualcomm has returned to the data center business and accelerated the diversified layout of the QCT department.
MediaTek’s revenue was also dragged down by its mobile phone business, ranking fifth at approximately US$4.81 billion. However, the company raised its AI ASIC business outlook, expecting data center revenue to exceed US$2 billion in 2026, and raised its forecast for the ASIC serviceable market size in 2028 to US$80 billion.
