Abstract:
Baseus launches the new PrimeSentinel U2 Pro Outdoor 3K Dual Camera, an outdoor security camera that adds an active deterrent function to traditional surveillance shooting. The biggest feature of this product is that it is equipped with an electrically controllable spotlight that can automatically lock and follow a moving target. Even if the target is running in the courtyard, it can continue to illuminate and remind the other party that it has been discovered by the surveillance system.

Unlike ordinary lighting, this set of tracking spotlights can not only drive away suspicious persons, but also enhance the brightness of the nighttime image, thus improving the clarity of surveillance video and target recognition capabilities. It can also provide additional lighting during family nighttime activities, such as walking the dog or patrolling the yard.
PrimeSentinel U2 Pro adopts a dual-camera design. One fixed 3K camera continuously monitors a designated area, and the other 3K camera supports zoom and 360-degree pan-tilt rotation to dynamically monitor a larger area. The device also supports full-color night vision, which helps identify details such as the color of people, animals, and suspicious vehicles.
In terms of artificial intelligence capabilities, the system can analyze monitoring images and generate event summaries, distinguishing between different activities such as people, pets, vehicles, and package delivery. At the same time, the system can also filter irrelevant dynamics such as swaying branches and frequently recurring normal activities to reduce unnecessary notification reminders.

In terms of video storage, the device only starts recording when a moving target is detected, thereby reducing storage space usage. The captured content is stored in an encrypted 512GB local memory card. Users can access the recorded content remotely through the Baseus mobile app, or view real-time footage through a platform that supports Amazon Alexa or Google Home.
In terms of installation, officials stated that the device can be fixed through wall or ceiling brackets, and the entire installation process only takes about two minutes at the fastest. The camera connects to your home network via wireless and comes with a rechargeable battery. Under typical usage conditions, battery life is up to 150 days.
The product also comes with a 3W solar panel, which can be installed directly on the top of the camera or placed separately in a more sunny location. Officials say that charging in the sun for about 40 minutes can provide the device with enough power for a day, further reducing the frequency of manual charging.
Currently, PrimeSentinel U2 Pro is on sale in the US market, priced at US$269.99; in the European market, it will be launched on October 15, priced at 269.99 euros. As more and more manufacturers introduce artificial intelligence and active defense functions into the field of home security, traditional "post-event forensic" cameras are gradually evolving into "active early warning" devices.
