Abstract:
Beats, the audio brand owned by Apple, officially announced a new joint product with Pokémon, launching a special edition Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker. The new product is designed with the most iconic characters in the Pokémon series, Pikachu and Mimikyu, and will be officially launched on October 15th.

This joint model adopts a gray body design, with exclusive patterns of Pikachu and Mimikyu added to the speaker grille. Pikachu appears with classic electrical elements, while Mimikyu appears in a gray style, creating a sharp visual contrast. The overall design maintains the original appearance of Beats Pill and adds strong Pokémon theme features.
In addition to the speaker itself, Beats also designed exclusive packaging for this product. The packaging adopts an interactive design that can display elements such as the character's ears, making the product more valuable for collection and display when unboxing.

It is worth noting that this is also the first time that Beats has added lanyard accessories to the Pill series of products. The random accessories include Poké Balls, Pikachu’s iconic lightning pattern and Beats’ classic “b” logo, further strengthening the identity of the joint product.
In terms of hardware specifications, this Pokémon special edition has not undergone functional adjustments and is still based on the Beats Pill platform that will be relaunched in 2024. The product is equipped with an upgraded audio system that provides more powerful sound performance and low-frequency effects. It has a battery life of up to 24 hours and is IP67 dustproof and waterproof. The speaker is compatible with Android smartphones and iPhones, and supports lossless audio playback via USB-C connection.
Pikachu, as one of the most iconic characters since the birth of the Pokémon series in 1996, has long become one of the most recognizable game images worldwide. Mimikyu, its partner, is a Pokémon character that has rapidly risen in popularity in recent years. It is set as a ghost Pokémon wearing an imitation Pikachu coat. It hopes to gain friends through Pikachu's popularity. This unique background also makes it very popular among fans.
The industry believes that it is no coincidence that the company chose to launch a joint product that also contains Mimikyu elements in October. As Halloween approaches, the mysterious Mimikyu has become an important visual focus of this collaboration, adding a festive atmosphere to the product.
The joint version of Beats Pill will be officially released on October 15th, priced at US$149, which is the same as the standard version of Beats Pill. The product will be launched simultaneously in Apple retail channels and some cooperative retailers, and will be sold to Pokémon fans and audio enthusiasts.
