Abstract:
On October 31, the 7th Manned Spaceflight Academic Conference was held at Beihang University. A "Global Times" reporter learned at this conference that our country plans to land Chinese people on the moon before 2030, and will use the method of "two launches, one landing on the moon" to achieve manned landing on the moon.

Wang Xiang, deputy chief designer of China's manned space project and chief designer of the lunar exploration project, introduced at this conference that my country's first manned lunar exploration plan uses a lunar orbit docking flight mode.
It is understood that this mode will use two Long March 10 launch vehicles to first send the lander to the lunar orbit, and then launch a manned spacecraft to achieve rendezvous and docking with the lander. The astronauts will enter the lander and separate from the manned spacecraft to land on the lunar surface to carry out relevant scientific exploration activities. After completing the mission, the astronauts ascended from the lunar surface in a lander, achieved a second rendezvous and docking with the manned spacecraft in the lunar orbit, and then returned to Earth in the manned spacecraft.
Wang Xiang said that the crew of my country's first manned lunar exploration mission is planned to consist of three people, two of whom will land on the lunar surface.
Currently, the research and development and construction work for the lunar landing phase of China's lunar exploration project is being steadily advanced.
