FAA: Black boxes from Amazon-Boeing cargo plane that overshot the runway have been found

Abstract:

On September 7, local time, the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board held a press conference to update on the latest incident of an Amazon Boeing 767-300 cargo plane at Miami International Airport.

It is reported that the flight took off from San Juan, Puerto Rico, with two crew members on board. The plane overran the runway during landing, hit navigation aids and equipment, and then hit a van carrying seven people. The vehicle belonged to a contractor that provides cleaning services to airlines. The aircraft then broke through the perimeter fence and hit a moving vehicle. The plane then plunged into the grass and hit another fence. In total, the aircraft taxied about 1,300 feet.

At present, investigators have begun to collect relevant information, and the aftermath and recovery work are still ongoing. They have successfully

recovered the flight data recorder (black box) and cockpit voice recorder

On the 8th, an investigation team composed of 32 members will carry out work and collect information. They will deploy a team of investigators dedicated to operations and human factors investigations, and will also review the Federal Aviation Administration's supervision of relevant operators. In addition, a dedicated team will investigate air traffic services, radar data and analyze transcripts of calls between controllers and pilots.
