Abstract:
GIGABYTE officially releases the AI TOP 100 B850 high-performance desktop system, bringing workstation-level artificial intelligence computing power to traditional desktop platforms. This product is aimed at developers, researchers, and enterprise users, aiming to reduce dependence on cloud services and enable large-scale language model training, inference, and agent-based AI applications to be completed in a local environment.

AI TOP 100 B850 is built on the AMD platform and can be equipped with up to AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor. This processor has a 16-core 32-thread design and can meet the needs of high-load tasks such as local large-scale language model fine-tuning, generative artificial intelligence, deep learning research, and agent-based AI.
The system comes standard with 128GB DDR5 memory and 2TB PCIe 4.0 solid-state drive, providing sufficient resources for large data set processing, local model storage, and complex development environments. Gigabyte said that this configuration can support enterprises and developers to directly deploy advanced AI workflows locally without relying entirely on cloud infrastructure.
In terms of graphics card configuration, AI TOP 100 B850 provides two options. The first is a single NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, which can use the CUDA ecosystem to support local large language models, generative AI, and agent-based AI applications. When running a 32 billion parameter model, the generation speed can reach up to 64.9 Tokens per second.

On the other hand, for users who need to process very large-scale models, GIGABYTE also provides a dual AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700 graphics card solution. The two graphics cards can provide a total of 64GB of video memory capacity, which not only doubles the 32GB of video memory capacity of the RTX 5090, but also supports local inference of up to 235 billion parameter models and fine-tuning tasks of up to 110 billion parameter models.
In order to ensure long-term scalability, AI TOP 100 B850 adopts a standard desktop platform architecture and is equipped with dual PCIe 5.0 slots, allowing users to upgrade more high-performance hardware in the future. Gigabyte said the design can continue to expand as model size, data set capacity, and project needs grow, preventing the entire platform from being quickly obsolete.
In terms of heat dissipation, the system integrates a 240mm integrated water-cooling radiator and a high air volume chassis air duct design to provide a stable operating environment for long-term AI operations. For continuous inference, model training and multi-agent collaborative tasks, the system can effectively control the temperature of the processor and graphics card to maintain stable performance output.

In terms of power supply, AI TOP 100 B850 is equipped with a 1600W 80 Plus Platinum power supply to meet the needs of high-performance CPU and multi-graphics card configurations, while leaving ample room for future upgrades.
Network and connectivity capabilities are also important selling points of this product. The system is equipped with dual 10GbE wired network interfaces and Wi-Fi 7 wireless network, which can improve the efficiency of large data set transmission, shared storage access, and cross-system data exchange. In addition, the fuselage also provides multiple sets of high-speed USB Type-C and Type-A interfaces to reduce data transmission bottlenecks caused by external device connections.
GIGABYTE also provides the AI TOP Utility software platform, which integrates system monitoring, memory offloading, and data set management tools into a unified interface to help users conduct model training, fine-tuning, and deployment more conveniently.
The company emphasizes that the core concept of AI TOP 100 B850 is to build a complete local AI platform on the user's desktop. Compared with relying on cloud inference and per-token billing models, local operation not only helps reduce long-term usage costs, but also keeps sensitive data within user control, thereby improving privacy and security.
As of now, Gigabyte has not announced the official price and launch time of the AI TOP 100 B850. However, judging from the hardware specifications, this product has targeted the high-end AI development market, hoping to provide enterprises, research institutions and professional development teams with a desktop-level solution that can directly deploy advanced artificial intelligence applications.
