Auto blogger @汉路 recently posted on Weibo that Meituan AutoNavi Dianping can make fake comments at will. AutoNavi responded that users can submit complaints and reports through the platform, and the platform will review them in accordance with laws, regulations and community rules, and carry out actions such as downgrading and deletion.
Han Lu said that his restaurant only had a soft opening at 17:00 on October 2, and even before the store opened, there were a lot of fake and negative reviews on Meituan, AutoNavi, and Dianping.
“The real economy is not easy to deal with. In order to make comments popular, the platform removes the threshold of real reviews. Anyone can make fake real reviews to smear merchants. There is no review mechanism. There is no need to upload any evidence of eating here. The cost of falsification and smearing is 0. This is really unfair and damaging to merchants.”
In response to this matter, AutoNavi responded that AutoNavi’s location reviews revolve around specific locations, and a large number of reviews are related to users’ actual navigation, arrival and other behaviors. The platform will use this to verify whether the user actually navigated to the store, which provides a core reference for the authenticity of the evaluation. Comments that have been verified to actually navigate to the store will be weighted; comments that have not navigated to the store will be downgraded to help other users understand the relevant places. Only reviews that have been verified for authenticity are included in location ratings, and invalid reviews are eliminated to ensure that the ratings reflect the experience of real store users.
“We encourage users to share true, objective and helpful content. For comments suspected of being false, fabricated or maliciously attacked, users and relevant entities can submit complaints and reports through the platform. The platform will review them in accordance with laws, regulations and community rules, and perform downgrades, deletions, etc. We will continue to improve the comment mechanism to provide users with more valuable references.”
