Microsoft is testing Windows 11 lock screen and widget panel battery widgets

Abstract:

Microsoft seems to be developing a new power monitoring function for Windows 11 systems, aiming to allow users to more intuitively and conveniently grasp the power status of the computer host and peripheral peripherals. According to the latest technology mining and leaked information from test versions, Windows 11 is expected to officially introduce an exclusive "Battery" widget in the lock screen interface and the system's native Widgets Board.

For a long time, Windows 11 laptop or tablet users have only been able to view the time, date and some basic weather or notification summaries when the screen is locked. To know the specific remaining power, they often need to wake up and unlock the screen first, or hover over the battery icon in the lower right corner of the taskbar after entering the desktop. The battery widget exposed this time breaks this limitation, allowing users to enter the system without unlocking. They only need to light up the screen to clearly read the remaining power percentage, charging status and estimated usable time of the host on the lock screen.
