Abstract:
Microsoft's Xbox recently announced a rather alternative custom-made game console: a functioning Xbox Series Microsoft plans to give away this special device, the only one in the world, to one lucky player through a social media sweepstakes.

The design of this device is inspired by Florida, USA. Xbox said that the company will go to Florida in November to carry out related activities, and the rich local wildlife resources inspired the design team, so this unique-looking alligator-themed console was born.
Xbox Series X-BITE extends from the crocodile's snout to its tail, with an overall length of more than five feet. The real Xbox Series X console is installed inside the crocodile body, and the internal console structure can be seen through a glowing Xbox Nexus logo on the back. The crocodile's eyes are designed with Xbox green irises, and the pupils incorporate visual elements of the Xbox Nexus logo.
What’s more interesting is that this device is also equipped with a specially customized Xbox wireless controller. The surface of the controller has marks similar to being bitten by a crocodile, and is placed between the crocodile’s open mouth. The overall shape looks like the crocodile has just swallowed the game console.
In order to realize this design, Xbox invited John Nolan Studio, a professional biological model and mechanical animation production team, to participate in the production. The studio has participated in the production of biological models for film and television works such as "The Witcher" and "Jurassic World: Dominion", and has also participated in the production of HBO's upcoming "Harry Potter" series. The entire project was completed using 3D modeling, sculpting and manufacturing processes to ensure that the Xbox Series X installed inside can still function properly.
Microsoft emphasized that this crocodile was completely artificially created, no real crocodiles were used, and no animals were harmed. But while the internal console can run games, Xbox recommends using it primarily as a showpiece rather than an everyday gaming device.

This product will not enter commercial sales channels, and there is only one in the world. Microsoft decided to give it away through a lottery, and participants could choose any of the three platforms X, Instagram or TikTok.
Participation methods include: following the official Xbox account on the corresponding platform, retweeting the designated lottery post, and manually adding the hashtag #XbiteSweepstakes to the retweeted content. Participants must also set their social media accounts to public status so Xbox can verify eligibility.
The event starts at 9:00 am Pacific Time on November 3, 2026, and will last until 11:59 pm on November 10. Participants must be legal residents of the 50 U.S. states or Washington, D.C., and be 18 years or older. No product purchase is required to participate. Potential winners must respond within 48 hours after being notified, otherwise they may be disqualified.
This event is obviously more than just an ordinary game console lottery. Xbox chose alligator as its theme to echo the regional characteristics of Florida, while also attracting social media attention with the help of visually striking custom hardware. Some gaming media also linked it to the Florida-style setting of "Grand Theft Auto 6", but Microsoft officials did not explicitly state that the device was made to promote the game.
For Microsoft, the Xbox Series X-BITE is more like a collectible specially created for marketing activities than a truly new product for consumers. It not only retains the actual running capabilities of Xbox Series X, but also creates buzz through its exaggerated crocodile shape. In the end, only one lucky player can take home this "game crocodile" that is more than 1.5 meters long.
