Abstract:
According to Windows Central reporter Jez Corden, Microsoft’s previous Xbox leadership had planned to launch a first-party handheld device, and the budget plan for the project has been approved by CEO Satya Nadella. However, after a leadership change, the company's current hardware strategy remains unclear.
When talking about relevant rumors on the "Xbox Two" podcast, Corden said that there are reports that the new Xbox handheld console may be launched before Microsoft's next-generation console project "Helix". The original plan he learned was that the console would be released first, and the handheld console would be promoted later depending on the situation.

"The last time I heard relevant news was before the new management took office. The plan at that time was to give priority to the Helix project. Even if the handheld project was to be launched, it would be later." Corden said.
He also confirmed that launching a first-party handheld console was indeed one of the established plans of the previous leadership.
"I can confirm that the previous management was indeed promoting the first-party handheld project. This was the planning route at that time, and the budget plan has been approved by Satya and others." Corden said.
Corden also reminded that relevant strategies may have been adjusted after the leadership change, and he does not rule out the possibility of delaying the launch of the handheld project or directly canceling it.
He also said that recent relevant rumors may point to another cooperation model rather than the originally planned self-developed equipment. One possibility he raised is that ASUS and Microsoft will cooperate to launch this first-party handheld machine, and the processor may use AMD's new future chips.
