At the same time, Musk also pointed out the core hidden danger behind the rapid development of AI-power supply shortage.
With AI chip production growing at a high rate of 40% to 50% every year, the demand for computing power consumption continues to surge. He predicts that there will be a power gap of at least 15 gigawatts in the global AI chip field in 2027, and power supply may become a key shortcoming restricting the development of the AI industry.
Musk made a quantitative estimate of the economic value of AI. He said that AI will significantly increase the scale of the global economy, with an overall growth rate of 20% to 30%, corresponding to an annual economic increment of US$20 trillion to US$30 trillion for the world.
He emphasized that the productivity-improving effect of AI has already appeared and will continue to strengthen, and robotics will bring about a leap-forward breakthrough in productivity.
