Abstract:
Recently, Nintendo of America President and COO Devon Pritchard was interviewed by the media. He said that although Switch 2 has celebrated its first anniversary, with global hardware sales exceeding 23 million units and becoming the fastest-selling console in Nintendo’s history, the console’s journey has just begun.

Pritchard said that at this stage, whether it is Nintendo's first-party works or various games brought by third-party developers, it has brought many exciting experiences to the platform, but there are still a lot of possibilities waiting to be explored in the future, and he very much looks forward to the follow-up development team to bring more imaginative content to Switch 2.
Pritchard said: "We have only just begun our journey with Nintendo Switch 2, but we are already experiencing some great games, both our own and third-party titles. I can't wait to see what the future brings with this console and the talent we have. What developers will bring to the table. But having said that, building partnerships with companies like Sony and Sony Pictures to explore how to bring these gaming experiences more broadly to existing players and fans, as well as new groups of players, I think that will be one of the most exciting things for us in the next few years."

The interview also mentioned the layout related to the 40th anniversary of Zelda IP, including "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remastered" which will be released on NS2 in November this year, and the "Zelda" live-action movie co-produced with Sony Pictures. The live-action movie will be released at the end of April 2027, and the game remake will be released first. The two will together form an important content node for Zelda’s 40th anniversary.
Faced with the hardware sales results it has achieved, Nintendo does not intend to slow down. The official hopes to continue to extend the life cycle of Switch 2 and continuously expand the software and IP matrix of the console by relying on first-party masterpieces, new third-party works, and IP film and television linkages. At present, the official has not announced more undisclosed first-party new information, and we still need to wait for Nintendo's follow-up direct meeting to be released.
