Abstract:
Collectible card rating agency PSA announced new developments in the theft case on October 13: More than 200 packages were stolen from a FedEx truck parked outside the PSA headquarters in Santa Ana, California, USA. The lost items included Pokémon and sports collectible cards. Police previously estimated that the value involved was close to $1 million, and PSA has now confirmed that the list of stolen items involves 6,451 items.

PSA said the company is cooperating with the Santa Ana Police Department and the FBI, and both law enforcement agencies are investigating the case. PSA has provided investigators with video footage, shipping manifests and item-by-item records.

To assist in the identification and recovery of stolen goods, PSA has released a complete list of thefts and has also deactivated the certification numbers corresponding to all stolen graded items. Relevant information has also been sent to trading platforms, auction houses and digital business platforms to monitor whether these items have returned to the market.

Compensation processing for affected customers will not wait until the investigation is completed. PSA is actively contacting the parties concerned and has refunded the rating fee. This refund is independent of the final compensation and will not be deducted from subsequent amounts. The company also provides processing guidelines based on different situations such as customers using official return labels, self-prepared labels, or dealers delivering them on behalf of customers. Customers in need can contact its support team.
