RTX 5080 removed from NVIDIA official store, new version with 24GB video memory may be launched in the near future

📅 2026-10-30

Abstract:

After the RTX 5090 disappeared from Nvidia’s official online store earlier this month, the RTX 5080 has now followed suit and been removed from the sales list. At the same time, news in the market that Nvidia is preparing a 24GB video memory version of the RTX 5080 continues to heat up, and the new model is even expected to be officially released before 2027.

According to the current page of Nvidia’s official online mall, users can no longer choose RTX 5090 or RTX 5080 products in the consumer graphics card product category. Not only have the public version models disappeared, but the non-public version graphics cards of various partners using these two GPUs have also been removed from the shelves. Currently, the only high-end model available in the mall is the RTX 5070 Ti, which includes multiple ASUS versions, but the price is still maintained at a high level.

In fact, the signs of RTX 5080’s withdrawal have been very obvious before. Before it disappeared from the mall, the price of the RTX 5080 in multiple retail channels once exceeded the $2,000 mark, even higher than the official suggested retail price of the RTX 5090 when it was released. This is seen as an important signal that inventories are gradually depleting.

It is unclear whether the upcoming 24GB video memory version will be launched as the RTX 5080 SUPER or whether it will be launched as a completely new product model. Previously exposed information shows that the RTX 5080 SUPER is expected to use the GB203-450 GPU core, which will also have a higher operating frequency, faster memory speed, higher memory bandwidth and an improved power consumption limit, thus bringing stronger overall performance.

Analytics believe that 24GB of video memory will help NVIDIA further expand its target user group. In addition to meeting the needs of high-end gamers, larger video memory capacity is also attractive for local deployment of artificial intelligence models. Compared with the existing 16GB video memory version, the 24GB capacity can provide more ample running space for the quantified 27 billion parameter-level model, improving the flexibility of local AI applications.

However, the market outlook is not entirely optimistic. As the current memory supply is still facing tight conditions, the industry expects that it will be difficult for the new 24GB version of RTX 5080 to be launched at a satisfactory price. At the same time, supply may continue to be limited, resulting in product shortages and premium prices after release.

With the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 withdrawing from Nvidia’s official store, speculation about a new round of graphics card product adjustments is heating up. Whether the 24GB version of the RTX 5080 can alleviate the demand pressure in the high-end graphics card market, and whether it will debut as the RTX 5080 SUPER, remains to be announced by Nvidia.
