Abstract:
According to August sales data from German retailer Mindfactory, AMD graphics card sales lead NVIDIA by a large margin, and the performance of RDNA 4 architecture graphics cards is particularly eye-catching.
Mindfactory is one of the largest online retailers of PC hardware in Germany, and its sales data can reflect the consumer preferences of the DIY hardware market in Germany and even Europe.
Overall, Mindfactory sold a total of 2,810 graphics cards in August, of which AMD accounted for 1,570 (55.87%), NVIDIA accounted for 1,110 (39.50%), and Intel accounted for 130 (4.63%).
AMD not only surpassed half, but also sold 460 units more than NVIDIA.However, NVIDIA still leads by a slight margin in terms of revenue. With its higher average selling price, NVIDIA's 1110 graphics cards brought in approximately 993,000 euros (49.95%), while AMD's 1570 graphics cards brought in approximately 941,000 euros (47.34%). AMD sold more than 450 more graphics cards, but its revenue fell behind, which intuitively reflects the huge pricing gap between the two graphics cards.
In terms of single model sales, RX 9070 XT sold 870 units, accounting for 31% of the total sales, and RX 9060 XT sold 600 units, accounting for 21.4%. The two models combined accounted for more than half of the total sales.
NVIDIA’s best-selling RTX 5070 Ti ranked third at 270 yuan (9.6%), followed by RTX 5060 Ti at 250 yuan, RTX 5080 at 240 yuan, and RTX 5070 at 190 yuan.
The flagship RTX 5090, which sells for about 5,000 euros (about 39,000 yuan), sold only 10 yuan in the whole month, and the recently returned RTX 3060 12GB version also sold only 10 yuan.
In terms of architecture distribution, RDNA 4 accounts for 1,550 units (55.2%), and Blackwell accounts for 1,039 units (37.0%). The previous generation Ada Lovelace has basically been withdrawn from sales, but the Ampere architecture still has 71 units (RTX 3050 and 3060 entry-level models).
In terms of graphics memory, 75.8% of graphics cards are 16GB and above, and only 24.2% are 12GB and below. Large graphics memory has become the mainstream choice.
The top three sales models are RX 9070 XT Reaper 16GB (140 yuan), Sapphire RX 9060 XT Pulse 16GB (140 yuan) and MSI RTX 5060 Ti Ventus 2X OC Plus 8GB (130 yuan).
