ASUS and Gigabyte plan to raise graphics card prices again, with a maximum increase of 500 yuan

Abstract:

Asus, Gigabyte and other graphics card manufacturers plan to raise product prices again in the Chinese mainland market in September, with a maximum increase of 500 yuan. This price adjustment is expected to boost the performance of board card manufacturers such as ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, Leadtek and Chengqi.

In September, Asus increased the net cost price of the Nvidia RTX 5070 series by 150 to 300 yuan, while the prices of other series models remained unchanged for the time being. Gigabyte has increased the price of all models of the Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti 16G series by 200 yuan, while other models have remained unchanged. For AMD, the RX 9070 XT series has also increased by 200 yuan, the RX 9060 XT 16G/8G series has increased by 200 to 250 yuan, and the RX 7650 GRE series has increased by 400 yuan.

This round of price increases is mainly due to the shortage of memory chips and the diversion of production capacity to the production of AI computing power GPUs. NVIDIA's overall shipments of consumer-grade GPUs have been reduced by 15% to 20% in the third quarter.

Looking at the supply trend, the shipment volume of each series received by various brands of graphics card manufacturers in September is expected to be basically the same as in August, and the tight supply situation will continue.

In terms of specific models, high-end series such as NVIDIA's RTX 5080 and 5070 Ti are still the most out-of-stock models. Among them, the RTX 5080 series has experienced a significant price increase in August, and the price is expected to stabilize in September; the RTX 5070 Ti series also focuses on price stability.

After two consecutive increases in RTX 5070 in August, the market estimates that the prices of major brands will remain flat overall, and some manufacturers with previously lower prices may increase their prices by 100 to 200 yuan.

In the mainstream market, RTX 5060 Ti 8G and RTX 5060 series are still the main supply models of major brands, accounting for 60% to 70% of the overall RTX 50 series supply. Demand is expected to still be greater than supply in September, and prices are expected to remain stable.
