Abstract:
Apple recently released a new generation of iPad mini, but as usual, it did not directly announce the battery capacity data on the official specifications page. As regulatory documents and equipment information have been exposed one after another, the battery configuration of this small-sized tablet has finally been confirmed.

Data shows that the new iPad mini has a built-in 18.9Wh battery. Converted according to the nominal voltage, its battery capacity is approximately 5078mAh. Although this number has been made public, Apple still continues its practice of not directly labeling milliamp-hour capacity, instead using watt-hours (Wh) as the official battery parameter.
From a specification comparison, the new phone remains close to the previous generation in terms of battery capacity. At the same time, Apple is focusing on upgrades in display technology, chip performance, and body design. The new iPad mini uses an OLED display for the first time, is equipped with an A20 Pro processor, and continues to support the Apple Pencil series accessories.
In addition to the core hardware upgrade, the new phone also uses a new "Acoustic Display" acoustic display technology to further integrate the speaker system into the screen structure. Apple said this solution can bring stronger low-frequency performance and higher volume output.
In terms of body design, the thickness of the new iPad mini has been reduced to 5.4 mm, and the weight has been reduced to 255 grams. Compared with the previous generation’s 6.3 mm thickness and 297 grams, it is thinner, lighter and more portable. The network connection part has been upgraded to Wi‑Fi 7. The cellular version supports 5G connection and is equipped with Apple’s self-developed communication solution.
In terms of battery life, although the battery capacity data has been announced, Apple still maintains its official battery life positioning similar to its previous one. At the same time, the new phone is charged through the USB‑C interface and supports higher power chargers. Officials say that when using a 35W or higher power adapter, it can charge about 50% of the power in 30 minutes.
In terms of price, the new iPad mini starts at US$699 and is available in three storage versions: 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. It is aimed at users who want high performance and easy-to-carry tablet devices. With the official exposure of battery capacity information, the main hardware specifications of this product have basically been revealed.
