The first batch of iPhone Duo may need to install the iOS 27.1 update. Apple has released a newer test version

Abstract:

When Apple's first foldable screen phone iPhone Duo is launched, it will run iOS 27.1 specially prepared for this model, but the first batch of devices may also need to install a software update during startup settings. MacRumors said that Apple recently released a newer iOS 27.1 build version 24A94425, and the pre-installed version of iPhone Duo currently shipped is 24A94232, so there is a version difference between the two.

Apple has previously confirmed that iPhone Duo will be equipped with iOS 27.1. This system version adds features designed for folding screen forms based on iOS 27, but Apple has not announced the specific update instructions for this new build, nor has it explained what problems it has fixed. MacRumors speculates that the new version may be used to fix software issues discovered during media reviews; this reason has not been confirmed by Apple.

iPhone Duo is expected to be officially launched on October 23, and pre-orders will begin on October 16. Since it is still some time away from sale, Apple may continue to launch updated versions, and the existing 24A94425 may also be replaced by updated builds. Therefore, the update version that end users will receive during boot setup is uncertain, but initial devices may need to complete a system update.
