Abstract:
On November 6, according to the US "The Mercury News",
a batch of Nvidia hardware worth approximately US$11.4 million disappeared during transportation
. The truck carrying the goods departed from Oakland, California, on August 29 and was originally scheduled to be shipped to Fort Worth, Texas. However, contact with the vehicle and driver was subsequently lost, and the whereabouts of the goods are still unknown.

The report stated that there were 6 pallets in this batch of goods. The pickup vehicle bears the logo of a food transportation company, and the pickup process complies with the original transportation arrangement. After the truck left Oakland and headed south, it gradually fell out of dispatch and tracking systems.
Investigators tried to restore the vehicle's route and found that the truck made multiple stops along the way, some of which lasted for several hours. Police eventually lost track of the vehicle in the San Bernardino County area of Southern California. No suspects have been arrested yet, and the police have not announced the specific stolen products, the method of committing the crime, or whether the goods have been broken up and moved.
ABC7 quoted the Oakland police statement as saying that the victim reported the incident on September 13, about two weeks after the goods left Oakland. Longer time lags make it more difficult to track vehicles and cargo.
This is not the first time Nvidia goods have been targeted for theft. In 2025, Fremont and Union City police investigated multiple thefts involving Nvidia goods, with related losses totaling more than $7.5 million. As the value of AI servers and computing hardware continues to rise, the transportation of high-value technology products is becoming an important target for organized freight theft.
