Abstract:

Brazilian distributor Oderço said that two pallets of Zotac-branded NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics cards arrived at Guarulhos International Airport in Sao Paulo and were subsequently unable to be found. The company estimates the cost of the goods to be about 2.5 million reais, or about $500,000; this figure is a cost estimate provided by the dealer, not the retail value. The report did not disclose the specific number of graphics cards, nor did it specify which airport processing link the goods went missing.

Oderço is headquartered in Maringá, Paraná. The company's president, Oderço Matos, said in a social media video that the company is contacting relevant parties to investigate and request an explanation of the whereabouts of the goods, but has not yet received information that can locate the goods. Matos said that in the 38 years of operation of the company, there has never been a similar incident of missing goods, and said that it has not encountered such a situation since it started importing goods in 2008.

As of the time of reporting, it was unclear how the goods went missing, whether theft was involved, and who was responsible. The report did not mention public responses from the police, airport operators, customs or logistics companies, so the current disclosures mainly come from the dealer side.

RTX 5090 is the flagship graphics card of NVIDIA Blackwell architecture. Its official specifications include 32GB GDDR7 video memory and 512-bit video memory interface. It is targeted at high-end games, content creation and artificial intelligence computing. The value of the missing goods is relatively high, but until the number of graphics cards, transportation records and investigation results are released, it is impossible to determine how much impact the incident will have on local supply or market prices.
