Abstract:
According to Microsoft's life cycle plan, Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise Edition, Education Edition, and IoT Enterprise Edition will end their life cycle on November 10, 2026. At that time, Microsoft will no longer provide monthly security updates to this version, which means that continued use of these versions will not obtain the necessary security patches, so even if a security vulnerability occurs, it cannot be fixed.

Home and Professional versions have ended support early:
Windows 11 version 23H2 was originally released in October 2023 with the system version number Build 22631. The consumer version series including Home Edition, Professional Edition, and Professional Workstation Edition have ended support on November 11, 2025, while the branch version suitable for enterprises usually receives security updates for an additional year.
What expires this time is the Enterprise Edition branch, including Enterprise Edition, Education Edition, IoT Enterprise Edition, and some enterprise multi-session deployment versions. The life cycle page shows that these versions will receive final security updates on November 10, and Microsoft will no longer provide any security updates after that.
Safety protection will be lost after stopping updates:
End-of-life versions can still be used, but they will no longer receive monthly security updates containing the latest threat protection. If enterprise equipment continues to stay on the old version, it may face the problem of disclosed vulnerabilities that cannot be fixed through regular updates, which will also increase subsequent compliance and operation and maintenance risks.
Microsoft recommends that enterprises upgrade eligible devices to a still supported version of Windows 11. The current Windows 11 26H2 version is being pushed in phases. If enterprises are willing, they can directly upgrade to the latest version, so that they do not need to upgrade in a short period of time (but usually new versions have various problems, and it is not recommended for enterprises to use the latest version).
