The latest trading data shows that Ark Investment Management, owned by Cathy Wood, has increased its holdings of 182,541 Tesla shares. Previously, when Tesla's stock price plummeted on Thursday, Cathie Wood chose to buck the trend and increase his position. Tesla’s stock price plummeted more than 12% that day, the largest single-day drop in more than a year, and its market value evaporated by approximately US$80 billion.

  

A regulatory filing shows that MacKenzie Scott reduced her holdings of 65.3 million shares of Amazon last year, accounting for about a quarter of her Amazon shares. At Friday's closing price, the shares were worth $10.4 billion.

After divorcing Jeff Bezos in 2019, Scott ended up with about 4% of the tech giant, which was worth about $37 billion at the time. Although she has sold about half of her shares over the past five years, Amazon still accounts for the majority of her $37.6 billion net worth, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Scott now owns about 1.9% of the tech giant.

Her wealth would have been even greater had it not been for her philanthropic work. Since divorcing Bezos, Scott has donated more than $16.5 billion to various charities — a huge sum even for one of the richest men on the planet. Scott posted a list of recipients on her website that includes more than 360 organizations that received a combined $2.15 billion over the past year.

In 2019, Scott signed the "Giving Pledge" (Note: The Giving Pledge was launched in 2010 by stock god Warren Buffett and Microsoft founder Bill Gates to call on billionaires to use at least half of their wealth for charity during their lifetime or after their death), which is a non-binding commitment made by billionaires to donate most of their wealth. “In addition to the assets that life has given me, I have a substantial amount of money to share,” she wrote in a letter on the Giving Pledge website. “My approach to philanthropy will continue to be thoughtful and will require time, energy and care. But I won’t wait any longer. I will keep it until the safe is empty.”

Bezos, who is worth $184.1 billion, has not signed the Giving Pledge, but he told the media in 2022 that he plans to donate most of his wealth.
