Audi's first pure electric model production base in China starts production: 3 new models will be launched next year

The production base of Audi FAW New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. has started production, and the first mass-produced model is the Q6e-tron.As Audi’s first pure electric model production base in China,Officials stated that the planned annual production capacity of the factory will exceed 150,000 units.In addition, the factory will also start production of three pure electric models of the Audi Q6e-tron and Audi A6e-tron series specially built for the Chinese market by the end of 2024.

These three models will be launched on the market in early 2025.

It is worth mentioning that in order to implement Audi's global "zero emission plan", the factory will also become the first production base to achieve "carbon neutrality" upon commissioning.

Judging from previously disclosed information, the factory is a national key project.The total investment is approximately 2.6 billion euros, equivalent to approximately 20.28 billion yuan, and the project covers a total area of ​​2.46 million square meters.The construction content includes the establishment of new companies and new production bases.
