The "Hai Jing" system of ocean streamer seismic exploration and acquisition equipment is about to complete exploration operations in deep sea areas with water depths up to 3,000 meters. This is the first time that my country's independent equipment has conducted seismic exploration operations in ultra-deep water areas.It is understood that streamer seismic exploration technology is the most direct, economical and efficient method in the world for detecting seafloor geological structures.
In this operation, the "Haiyang Shiyou 720" deep-water geophysical exploration vessel,Ten cables with a length of more than 8 kilometers in the "Haijing" system were laid into the sea water in sequence, and 2,500 square kilometers of sea surface towing cable collection operations were carried out along the route to complete seismic data collection of source and geophone points in real time.
At present, deep sea has become an important growth point for global oil and gas resource development. Previously, my country has developed the Liwan 3-1 gas field and the "Deep Sea No. 1" gas field with a water depth of about 1,500 meters through foreign cooperation and self-operation, bringing my country's offshore oil exploration and development capabilities into the "ultra-deep water era."
Further development into 3,000-meter ultra-deep water is of great significance to ensuring national energy security and improving my country's deep-sea resource development capabilities.
