Voice actor Jennifer Hale is well-known in the game industry. She has played Samus Alain in "Metroid Prime", Bastila Shan in "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic", and of course the female version of Commander Shepard in "Mass Effect". In KONAMI's masterpiece "Metal Gear Solid", she has voiced the cunning geneticist Naomi Hunter since 1998.

In a recent podcast, Hale revealed that he was only paid $1,200 to voice this important character in MGS.

Hale has talked about this before, but did not mention it directly. He only said in September that a game "made $176 million" and that the hourly wage he received was "far lower than what he expected." On this week's podcast, Hale quickly responded to the host's question about what the $176 million game is: "Metal Gear Solid."

She agreed with the host that there was a "huge imbalance" between the $1,200 she received and the $176 million she received. However, Hale said: "I love (Metal Gear Solid) because it's completely different from anything I've done before. It's exciting, it's unique, it's dark, it's full of mystery, it's very tense, and I love everything about it."
