As nearly 13,000 employees of the United Auto Workers (UAW) union began to strike simultaneously at three Detroit automakers, Tesla CEO Elon Musk posted a post showing off that his company paid workers higher wages than the UAW demanded and that the work atmosphere was good.

"By the way, we have higher wages than the UAW, but we also have higher performance expectations," Musk said, adding that over the years, multiple factory technicians who work on Tesla's production lines have become millionaires as a result of the company's stock grants.

Musk wrote: "The factory atmosphere at Tesla and SpaceX is great. We encourage playing music and having some fun. It is very important to make people look forward to work!"

Musk was responding to an X user who pointed out that Tesla employees are continuing to work in full swing, while the three major traditional car companies are involved in negotiations with the United Auto Workers union.

Musk is known to be anti-union. He has repeatedly posted on Twitter expressing his opposition to unions. In 2018, he posted that Tesla employees would lose their stock options if they formed a union.

In 2022, Musk posted another post claiming that the UAW had stolen millions of dollars from workers, and Tesla had turned a large number of workers into millionaires.
