Intel's lowest-end original radiator Laminar RS1 has been discontinued on December 27, 2024. This radiator is a low-end push-down aluminum extrusion radiator that was previously only shipped with the boxed versions of the Pentium G7400 and Celeron G6900 processors.

The fan speed range of LaminarRS1 is 600 to 3150RPM, the noise value does not exceed 36dB(A), and the maximum heat dissipation power consumption can reach 65W.

Its compact size of 100×100×47mm makes it compatible with most chassis on the market, providing users with a convenient plug-and-play experience.

However, since it is only used in two processors, and the market share of these two processors is relatively low, this should be the reason why Intel decided to discontinue this radiator.

There is no direct successor to the Laminar RS1. As an alternative, the newly shipped boxed products will use the Laminar RM1 radiator with relatively better performance.

LaminarRM1 is a boxed standard radiator for the 12th, 13th and 14th generation Core i3, i5 series (non-K suffix models) and 300 series processors.

Compared with RS1, RM1 has roughly the same overall dimensions as RS1, but a copper block with higher thermal conductivity is embedded in the base and a blue ring is added on the top to give it better temperature performance in medium and low load usage scenarios.
