According to an exclusive report by Korean media MTN, the online game adapted from PlayStation IP "Horizon" may have been canceled by Korean developer NCSoft, along with other games of the studio, including "Project H". It is reported that these projects have stopped development after NCSoft internally evaluated their "feasibility".

Developers related to these projects were told at the end of last year and the beginning of this year that development was terminated and they were preparing to move to other projects. One of the canceled projects has also disappeared from NCSoft's organizational chart, so it appears to have been permanently terminated.

SIE and NCSoft "strategic partnership" signed in 2023

Considering that the "Horizon" online game has never been officially announced, the cancellation may not be officially announced. However, this is another blow to Sony, which is devoted to real-time service games. The company has canceled multiple planned real-time service games, including last year's "Star Wars", Blue Point Games' "God of War" real-time service game, and BendStudio's new real-time service game.

However, Horizon multiplayer may still be in development, with footage of the game originally leaked in 2023.
