On November 16, Microsoft announced that BingChat and its enterprise version BingChat for Enterprise were renamed Copilot. Microsoft explained that the name change was to unify the Copilot experience and serve consumers and business customers, and users who log in to Bing with corporate accounts can enjoy commercial data protection when using Copilot.

It is reported that starting from December 1, users who log in to Bing with a business account (Microsoft Entra ID to be precise) will enjoy the benefits of "business data protection" when using Copilot.This means their data will not be saved or used to train AI models, and Microsoft will not have access to it.

In addition to Copilot.Microsoft.com and Bing, Copilot is now available directly in Windows and is included in a range of Microsoft's enterprise subscription plans - Microsoft365E, E5, BusinessPremium and BusinessStandard, at no additional cost.
