Honor officially released Honor 100 and Honor 100 Pro new phones, which feature the world's first Oasis eye protection screen and SLR-level photo camera. The former launches the third-generation Snapdragon 7, and the latter is equipped with the second-generation Snapdragon 8. Among the many features of the Honor 100 series, one thing is very special, that isHonor’s Internet service has been fully upgraded and re-supports Google Mobile Service, also known as GMS!
Due to well-known reasons, Honor and Huawei lost the authorization from Google and can no longer use GMS.
In October 2021, Honor resumed full cooperation with Google, and the overseas versions of the Honor 50 series began to be equipped with GMS again.
Now, Honor mobile phones have finally welcomed back GMS in China. They can send and receive Gmail messages normally, use the Chrome browser, access the Google Play app store, etc., making it more convenient when going abroad.
Of course, this also means that Honor phones will no longer be equipped with HarmonyOS.
