The latest data from global opinion polling and data company YouGov shows that,The American public's favorable view of Tesla has fallen to a nine-year low.Tesla's impression score in the United States fell to minus 12.7 on Wednesday, its lowest score since YouGov began polling Tesla in 2016.
Among them, Tesla has the lowest score among liberals, with a score of minus 34.9 points, and a score of minus 9.1 points among moderates. However, its favorability among conservatives has increased significantly, with a score of 7.6 points, which is much higher than the negative score level six months ago.
It is reported that YouGov's impression scoring indicators cover multiple dimensions such as impression, value, reputation, satisfaction, quality and recommendation possibility.
At the same time, anti-Musk and boycott Tesla activities are being held in many cities in the United States. Tesla has even been the target of a series of acts of vandalism, leading to the police arresting several people.
The poll also found that Musk's favorability in the U.S., whose image is closely tied to the Tesla brand, has also declined.
Still, YouGov said Tesla's overall purchase intention - an indicator of whether consumers would consider Tesla the next time they buy a car - has tended to be relatively stable among different political groups in the United States, in line with Wall Street analysts' predictions that consumers' dissatisfaction with Musk may not affect their car-purchase decisions.
However, Tesla's sales did take a hit in some markets. In February, Tesla deliveries fell by more than 70% in Australia and Germany, and by more than 40% in Norway, Denmark and Sweden. In the United States, sales in January also fell by 11%.
