Nintendo has removed multiple mentions of support from the official Switch 2 websiteVRDescription of R (variable refresh rate). As part of the Switch 2 launch event, Nintendo announced that the Switch 2 will support 4K, 120FPS, and VRR. However, confusingly, Nintendo appears to have removed any mention of VRR from multiple official websites.

The reporter pointed out that when the Switch 2 is connected to the TV in base mode for gaming, the VRR function supported has been deleted, and currently only HDR and 120Hz are retained.
Digital Foundry reporter Oliver Mackenzie pointed out that mentions of VRR have been removed from some Nintendo websites. As of this writing, references to VRR have been removed from official websites in Canada, the United States, and Japan. Currently only the European official website is still up, but Nintendo may be removing it from all versions of the website and has not yet updated its European official website.

VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) allows supported TVs to display unconventional frame rates for a smoother experience. This allows games with uncapped frame rates to have greater performance flexibility in high-density areas.
