The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 DGPU will be released in China next year, and we learned more about the specifications from leaker MEGAsizeGPU. The GPU is designed in compliance with U.S. regulations and will be a slightly scaled-down version of the original RTX4090, which was restricted by the U.S. Department of Commerce due to a TPP (total processing performance) of over 4,800 points.
The rating was designed by the U.S. Commerce Department to ensure that China does not have access to advanced chips that would give it an advantage in artificial intelligence computing. This means NVIDIA will have to step back slightly on the specs of the GeForce RTX 4090, which is also said to feature the new AdaLovelace GPU SKU. This new SKU is called the AD102-250 and is a castrated version of the AD102-300 GPU on the RTX4090.
Based on the latest information, it looks like we're getting more details on the clock speeds of this specific GPU. It is reported that the base clock frequency of NVIDIA GeForce RTX4090DGPU is 2280MHz, which is even 45MHz higher than RTX4090, and the boost clock frequency is 2520MHz. There is no information about the core configuration or memory specifications yet, but the card is likely to retain 24GB GDDR6X memory, with a bandwidth of more than 1TB/s and a TGP of more than 400W.
More importantly, MEGAsizeGPU stated that the development of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 DGPU is still proceeding as planned. Despite some harsh statements from the U.S. Commerce Secretary recently, it looks like Nvidia is working with U.S. authorities to ensure that their latest GPUs for the Chinese market are fully compliant with the latest regime. In terms of pricing, the upcoming gaming GPU will be priced similarly to the previous RTX 4090 model, with a suggested retail price of 12,999 yuan, which is close to $1,800.
