As Apple's retail business prepares for the launch of the Apple Vision Pro headset, some believe that the actual release date of "early 2024" will be February, rather than early this year. Apple has repeatedly stated that Apple Vision Pro will be released "early" in 2024, but has not determined a specific date. It is now expected that the product will be more likely to be released in February rather than starting shipping in January of this year.
In Sunday's Bloomberg "PowerOn" newsletter, Mark Gurman discussed retail efforts related to headsets and the work of selling them to the public.
Gurman said Apple's "internal goal is to have the headset on the market by January." However, he also expected that "if there are no unexpected circumstances, it will be released at least before March."
Previously, he wrote in November that shipments were expected in March.
During the discussion, Gurman said that there will be an initiative in January to have some store employees go to Apple Park for training, and the employees will go home and pass on their knowledge to other employees in their respective stores.
