As the pioneer of FPS games, "DOOM" is 30 years old this year! The original version of the shareware "Doom" (DOOM) released by idSoftware in 1993 is the largest-selling PC game in history, and its paid full version is still selling well on Steam; Bethesda has also designed an executable file for running the game on modern devices.

DOOM is also one of the most popular game series, with nearly ten games launched on various platforms. With Bethesda's acquisition of Zenimax, the series received a new lease of life in the 2010s, first with DOOM (2016) and later with the hit DOOMEternal.

The original team that designed "Doom", ace designers John Romero and Tom Hall, and artist Adrian Carmack congratulated the players and congratulated them on making "Doom" an indispensable work in the history of video games.

DOOM was one of the games that turned the PC into a serious gaming platform, since games on the PC were mostly seen as novelty software on machines that were primarily used for work. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the birth of "Doom", John Romero announced the release of the unofficial sixth episode of the original "Doom", "SIGILII".

Due to commercial restrictions, SIGIL and SIGILII's WAD files (.wad, where's all the data? are archives of game assets from DOOM and Doom-like games) themselves are free, but you can support Romero's work by purchasing unique soundtracks, collector's boxes, and other merchandise produced by Buckethead and THOR.
