Many iPhone users have recently discovered that they make more typos than before, and even suspect that they have become sluggish. However, this may not be a "handicap", or it may be a problem with the Apple system input method.

On social media, a user complained about input issues after updating to iOS 26, saying he suddenly made "stupid typos."I also noticed that the space key sometimes failed, and the overall feeling of typing accuracy was reduced.

Another user also mentioned that after upgrading to iOS 26, the keyboard felt stuck or sluggish, especially when typing long messages.

Another user said:“If you’ve been experiencing an increase in typos on iOS lately, you’re not crazy, and this is a bug in iOS that causes the keyboard to randomly insert the wrong letters instead of what you typed.”

The slow-motion video he shared clearly shows that the keyboard does sometimes fail to recognize correct input.

It is currently determined that this is not caused by automatic correction or user error, but by a keyboard input bug that exists in the latest iOS update.
