The Operating System Conference 2025 was held recently. The conference was co-organized by the Open Atom Open Source Euler Community in collaboration with dozens of industry partners. Facing the future, the open source Euler community has officially started a new five-year development path. It will officially launch an operating system for super nodes by the end of 2025, leading the AI era and accelerating globalization.

It is reported that in the past six years since open source, under the operation and incubation of the Open Atomic Open Source Foundation, the open source Euler community has more than 2,100 member units, with more than 23,000 global contributors and more than 5.5 million users. The cumulative installed base of the openEuler operating system is expected to exceed 16 million units by the end of 2025, and has achieved large-scale application in industries such as the Internet, communications, government affairs, finance, public utilities, and energy.

At the meeting, the Open Atom Open Source Foundation, Huawei and China Telecom Tianyi Cloud announced a joint development initiative to jointly promote technological co-construction, ecological co-construction and win-win business, jointly build the competitiveness of the operating system in cutting-edge technology fields such as AI and super nodes, and promote the prosperity and development of Tianyi Cloud and the open source Euler ecosystem.

Xiong Wei, chairman of the Open Atom Open Source Euler Committee, released openEuler, the world's first operating system for super nodes (openEuler 24.03 LTS SP3), and mentioned in his keynote speech that openEuler has started a new five-year development path, firmly embracing super nodes, firmly embracing AI, accelerating the process of globalization, and providing new choices for the world.

This year, AMD, Inspur Cloud, and Digital China have become new donors to the open source Euler community. So far, the three major chip companies Intel, Arm, and AMD have become community donors.

Ningce Software, ChinaSoft International, Wind River, Unicom Software, iSoftStone, Super Fusion, Runhe Software, Kirin Software, and Kirin Xinan have become the first global pioneer partners of the open source Euler community and will work together to promote the globalization process of openEuler.

At the level of global open source organization collaboration, the open source Euler community has recently reached in-depth technical cooperation with the Zephyr Embedded Technology Foundation and the Linux Foundation AI&Data Foundation. Currently, the open source Euler community has established cooperative relationships with 15 global open source organizations in AI, cloud, big data, HPC, embedded and other fields.
