Faced with the current shortage of memory, which has led to a sharp increase in the price of related products, many people want to know when is the best time to buy a computer. However, the CEO of MAINGEAR, an American high-end machine brand, recently pointed out that now may be the best time to take action.

In an interview with Wccftech, MAINGEAR CEO Wallace Santos asked players whether they should upgrade now. Santos suggested that the current promotion season is the best time to buy.

Santos said:"Consumers interested in purchasing a new PC or upgrading the GPU, SSD or RAM of an existing system should consider shopping now and look for products that have not yet experienced price increases. MAINGEAR is offering pre-installed models that are currently unaffected by price increases."

Santos believes that the current retail situation of PC components has not "deteriorated" to the extreme, and the existing prices are still considered "decent" compared with the high prices that will come in the next few months.

He explained that DRAM prices have begun to soar due to memory shortages, and although manufacturers like MAINGEAR are working hard to "hold" prices for customers, this effort is difficult to sustain.

Santos predicts that memory prices will continue to rise, and eventually prices on major retail platforms will inflate. Over time, memory delivery cycles will be limited, and consumer-grade memory may even be "out of stock."
