The Information reported that according to multiple sources directly involved in Apple and supplier product work, Apple plans to significantly expand its smartphone product line in the next two years, and may release at least seven new flagship models before the fall of 2027. The first foldable iPhone is expected to be released in the fall of 2026. According to multiple people involved in the project, the device will be wider than it is tall when unfolded and will look like a small iPad.

Other products to be released include: iPhone 17e (name to be determined) to be launched in the spring of 2026, and iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max to be launched in the fall of 2026.

The iPhone 18, iPhone 18e (name to be determined), iPhone Air 2 (name to be determined), and the 20th anniversary iPhone 20 (name to be determined) will be released in the spring of 2027.

It is reported that the 20th Anniversary Edition will cancel the black border and expand the screen size. Apple plans to place the front camera under the screen, making it the first true "full-screen" iPhone without digging holes.
