Recently, the Jack Ma Charity Foundation officially announced that the “Rural Teacher Project” – the eleventh “Laba Date” has arrived as scheduled.According to reports, 100 newly selected rural teachers have officially joined the program family. So far, the Jack Ma Rural Teacher Program has supported a total of 1,101 rural teachers in the past 11 years.
It is worth mentioning that Jack Ma participated in this "Laba Appointment" event online to congratulate the newly selected rural teachers. At the same time, he shared his thoughts on the integration of rural education and AI based on the current AI development trends.

He bluntly said that AI is a challenge to rural education, but it is also an opportunity to return to education itself. In the AI era, we should no longer hesitate whether to use AI or not, but how to teach our children to use AI well.
Jack Ma said that with AI, our education no longer requires children to compete with AI in calculation and memory, but allows children to stay curious. Curiosity is the source of computing power.
In his view, the gap in the AI era is not actually a technological gap, but a gap in curiosity, imagination, creativity, judgment and collaboration capabilities.
Regarding the direction of education in the AI era, Jack Ma put forward a clear point of view: In the AI era, future education is not to let children memorize more and remember more, but to let them think more interestingly, think more creatively, and think more uniquely.
He emphasized that “in the AI era, our education is not to let a thousand students give the same correct answer, but to let a thousand students learn to ask 10,000 different good questions.”
