Apple has been actively blocking BeeperMini and BeeperCloud to prevent Android smartphone users from accessing iMessage servers. Fortunately, Apple's persistent efforts mean a fix is on the way, but this time there's a condition that could force users to ditch the service altogether. Previously, to access iMessage servers, users needed to create an Apple ID; this time, they need to have the required hardware.

To access BeeperMini and BeeperCloud, Android smartphone users now need to own a Mac.

In a post on Reddit, BeeperMini said it had found a solution to the continuous blocking issue that Apple was focusing on. Unfortunately, to send and receive iMessages, users now need to own a Mac. If you don't have the required hardware, you can also ask a Mac friend who uses Beeper to help.

"We've found a solution to stabilize iMessage on BeeperCloud and BeeperMini. It works well and was very reliable in our testing. The only drawback is that the solution requires you to have access to a Mac computer, or have a friend on Beeper who uses a Mac."

If Android smartphone users don't have a Mac, BeeperMini also offers a workaround by reusing the same registration data. According to the company, 10 to 20 iMessage users can easily use the same registration data without any worries.

However, this is also one of the main reasons why Apple finally blocked BeeperMini for the first time. Apple said it did not want to harm the security and privacy of iPhone users.

Even if service is restored tomorrow, Apple will likely continue to find ways to keep service out of service, making BeeperMini's situation even more difficult, as future updates may impose stricter conditions on Android users, forcing them to abandon the service entirely.
