In the latest release of the third developer beta of macOS 27 (codenamed macOS Golden Gate), Apple has added a number of new wallpaper options to Mac designed around the theme of the Golden Gate Bridge. Previously, the system had introduced an abstract-style wallpaper of the Golden Gate Bridge in the first beta version. Now the newly added Golden Gate Sunset (sunset) and Golden Gate Night (night scene) further enrich the overall visual effect.

Two new wallpapers, Golden Gate Sunset and Golden Gate Night, animate when you unlock your Mac and can be set as a screensaver. When the user sets the Golden Gate Sunset wallpaper as a screensaver, the dynamic scene of waves crashing on the rocks near the Golden Gate Bridge can be seen in the screen; while the screen saver effect of the Golden Gate Night wallpaper shows a night scene of vehicles driving on the Golden Gate Bridge, creating a distinct contrast of time and atmosphere.

Continuing its previous practice of introducing groups of theme wallpapers in system updates, Apple may also continue to expand the Golden Gate Bridge series of wallpapers in subsequent beta versions or official versions to bring more style changes to users. At present, macOS Golden Gate is still only open to developers as a beta version, and ordinary users are temporarily unable to obtain it through official channels, but it is expected that Apple will launch a public beta version of macOS 27 soon.
