Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick will officially step down today (December 29), and his severance compensation is as high as 110 million yuan.After Kotick officially steps down, Microsoft gaming CEO Phil Spencer will be responsible for managing Activision Blizzard.

Kotick has served as CEO of Activision Blizzard since 1991. During his tenure,Activision Blizzard has successively launched game products such as "Diablo 3", "Hearthstone", "Heroes of the Storm", "Overwatch" and "Candy Crush Saga".

Activision Blizzard's market value has also grown from the initial US$150 million to US$74.22 billion before delisting.

A current employee at Activision Blizzard said: "Kotick should have left two years ago. At that time, we had more than 1,800 people publicly calling for his resignation, but it is better late than never."

However, despite the complaints from his employees, Kotick was still able to receive a substantial severance package from Microsoft.

According to relevant documents released by the SEC, even without counting the millions of Activision Blizzard shares he holds, the severance compensation alone,Kotick can earn up to 14.592 million U.S. dollars (approximately 110 million yuan).
