Google is introducing a new feature to its "AI Mode" in its search products, allowing users to connect their most commonly used applications and services directly to the mode for a faster and more convenient interactive experience. It is reported that this feature has begun to be pushed to US users this week.

As a practical feature within Google Search powered by the Gemini model, "AI Mode" allows users to directly ask questions on specific topics without having to open a separate chatbot application. As early as January this year, Google launched the "Personal Intelligence" function, paving the way for integrating preference services into Gemini applications. Now this capability has been translated and extended to the "AI mode".
According to Google’s official announcement, users can now safely link and operate their preferred apps and services in the “AI mode” of the search interface. This means that users no longer need to switch back and forth between multiple software when making various plans, and all core operations can be completed in one stop in the "AI mode".
In actual application scenarios, the integration of this function is particularly convenient. For example, if you're planning your mother's 50th birthday party, you can ask the AI mode to filter out the hit songs for each year since she was born and generate a fun playlist. As long as you have connected to YouTube Music in advance, the system will directly provide the corresponding song list for you to play directly or add to your personal music library with one click. In another scenario, if you need to prepare for a weekend barbecue, you can let the "AI mode" list all the barbecue necessities; after connecting to the Instacart service, the system can directly add the ingredients on the list to your Instacart shopping cart, and you can complete the final payment settlement with just a few taps.
Currently, this feature is only available in the U.S. market, and the specific launch time in other regions around the world is unknown. Google also revealed that they are currently actively contacting more partners and will integrate more rich applications and services into the "AI model" ecosystem in the future.
