This technology will most likely become part of the PlayStation 6 architecture.

According to public patent documents, Sony has proposed a new solution that changes the traditional collaboration between the central processing unit (CPU) and the graphics processing unit (GPU). In the traditional mode, the CPU is responsible for preparing data for rendering; in the new solution, part of the work is transferred to the GPU, allowing the graphics processor to independently determine which objects should be loaded and rendered first.
