ASRock has released DeskMini and DeskMeetX600 barebones supporting AMD Ryzen8000G desktop APU, equipped with X600 motherboards. Based on this generation of processor power and cooling capabilities, the 65W series is the benchmark for these mini PCs. DeskMeet and DeskMiniX600 series will use the latest X600 PCH-less motherboards, which are designed to utilize onboard CPUI/O functions to meet USB, PCIe, memory and other connection needs. This is possible with the X600PCH activator, which is also used by the AMD Ryzen 7000 embedded CPU series.
The two barebone systems adopt mATX and Mini-ITX designs, are equipped with AMDAM5 sockets, provide up to four DDR5 slots, support 256GB capacity, and provide M.2Gen5SSD support, but the independent graphics card specification will be limited to PCIe4.0.
Given that there is enough space inside the case, users can fit in a full NVIDIA ARTX 4090 graphics card, provided an SFX power supply is added for power supply, as the 500WATX unit provided with the barebones system is not sufficient for this purpose. That's why the two models are divided into barebones and bare metal. Other specs include support for 2.5GbELAN and several SATA ports, so there's enough I/O for basic office and gaming tasks.
The DeskMeetX600 series provides four DDR5 memory slots (up to 256GB), PCIe5.0 for M.2SSD and Dragon2.5G Ethernet interface. Additionally, the 500WATX power supply’s fan is optimized to improve cooling performance.
The DeskMiniX600 series is the first AMDAM5MiniSTX platform. It supports AMDAM565WCPU, provides two DDR5SO-DIMMs, provides two SATA ports, two M.2 slots, 2.5GLAN and three video ports, achieving scalability and functionality in a mini form factor.
Supporting AMD Ryzen 8000 GAPU is a highlight of the DeskMeet and DeskMini ASRock has not announced the final prices of these PCs yet.
