A blogger has made new progress in suing Zhang Xuefeng for making remarks such as "liberal arts are all service industries".The case has now been accepted by the court.The status of the case is the online case filing and review stage.According to previous relevant reports, on December 9, 2023,Zhang Xuefeng's related remarks that "liberal arts are all service industries, can be summed up in one word: lick" triggered a lot of heated discussions among netizens.It was opposed by some people in the industry who believed that this statement was too extreme.
In response to this, Zhang Xuefeng apologized on Weibo and said that there is nothing wrong with being in the service industry, but some people can't get over this hurdle. If I can get over it, I will work in the service industry. If you can't get over it, you are not suitable for the service industry.
Subsequently, blogger "Gu Yanyou" with more than 600,000 fans on a certain social platform announced that he would sue Zhang Xuefeng.He also stated that Zhang Xuefeng’s remarks were a blatant “derogation and provocation” to liberal arts students.
The report also stated that the blogger said that he and Zhang Xuefeng had no personal grudges and that the purpose of doing this was to eliminate social prejudice against liberal arts students caused by Zhang Xuefeng's remarks.
As for the lawsuit's demands, the blogger stated that it was still the same as before, requiring the defendant to publish an apology statement in domestic provincial newspapers, compensate the plaintiff one yuan for mental loss, and bear all litigation costs.
