According to the US "Capitol Hill" report, Stan Deere, executive vice president of Boeing Company and president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, said in a message sent to employees on the 15th that the company plans to conduct additional inspections on the production and installation process of Boeing 737 MAX series passenger aircraft.

The report mentioned that on the 5th of this month, shortly after a Boeing 737 MAX9 passenger plane of Alaska Airlines took off from Portland, Oregon, a closed cabin door near the left wing fell off, causing the plane to make an emergency landing. The fallen door was manufactured by American company Spirit Aerospace Systems. The Federal Aviation Administration officially notified Boeing on the 11th to launch an investigation into its quality control issues.

The latest news from "Capitol Hill" states that Deere said in a message sent to employees on the 15th that although the company has taken measures to improve its quality inspection process in recent years, this air accident shows that the company still needs to improve its work. Deere said Boeing plans to conduct additional inspections of Boeing and Spirit Aerospace Systems' production and installation processes.

According to the report, Deere said that the additional inspection work includes "an additional layer of review based on the thousands of inspections that each 737 MAX series passenger aircraft has undergone." In addition, Boeing plans to hold additional team meetings to focus on its quality management system and form a team to work alongside the team from Spirit Aerospace Systems.
